Home Workout - Daily Workout
Getting swole doesn't require a fancy gym membership or a set of dumbbells—all you need is a workout app. These apps (which range from free to paid, with some requiring a monthly subscription fee) offer daily routines designed to target different muscle groups and help you build strength and endurance at home.
You'll find routines devoted to every major muscle group, from squats and lunges for your legs and core to push-ups and planks for your arms and back. For each one, you'll start with a 3-5-minute dynamic warmup (like jogging in place, knee hugs, arm circles, or starfish), then move on to your workout. Each exercise is explained by a coach in video, and an on-screen timer helps you stay on track.
There are even workouts designed to help you build your butt (think single-leg butt kicks, bridges, and heel lifts). But if you're not interested in a hefty commitment, try Adidas Training by Runtastic, which allows you to create a custom routine with exercises from 7 to 32 minutes long. You can also share your progress pictures with the app's community to keep you motivated.
The only downside to this app is that you'll need a pair of dumbbells for some of the exercises (you can always use your own if you don't have any). Otherwise, it's a solid option for those who want to improve their physical fitness over the medium term without ever setting foot in a gym.
